Interviews will be conducted after the application deadline. The interview committee is composed of representatives from Student Affairs, and the SAFC Business Manager. This committee will forward the names of those most qualified to the Vice Chancellor for appointment. The term of office begins June 1 for one year.
One at-large member will be selected to serve as Chair of SAFC. The SAFC Chair is a paid position with duties including presiding over meetings, conducting audits, supervising other SAFC members, approving SAFC allocation decisions, as well as sitting on the Student Legal Services Advisory Board, Tuition and Fees Advisory Board and Student Union Advisory Board.
As per the SAFC Statutes, at-large members should not serve as an officer, elected or appointed position for the Campus Activities Board, Student Niner Media, Student Government Association, Sports Clubs, or Graduate & Professional Student Government or be employed by a program primarily funded by student activity fees.
At-large members shall have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 upon appointment and during their term of office. They must also be in good standing with the University. Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be interviewed.
