dehall1@wsd.net Welcome to my Math class at Sand Ridge Jr. High. I am excited to have you in my class this year! Please Read this carefully as there is important information to make this school year run smoothly.
Materials needed for my class include a 1" 3 ring binder, loose leaf paper, graphing paper and 4 dividers. Students should bring a pencil and red pen to class every day as well. Text books will remain in the classroom unless other arrangements are made.
Homework will only be given if students fail to finish assignments in class.
Late work policy: All late, missing, absent and redo assignments are due 2 days before teachers need to post grades.
ABSOLUTELY no phones, headphones or earbuds allowed in class without permission. The first time they have a phone/headphones in my class it will be taken to the office to be picked up after school by the student. The second time it will need to be picked up by a guardian. The third time will be an administrative referral.
Students are expected to follow ALL district, school, and classroom rules and procedures.
Classroom Discipline Policy:
1st offense- Verbal warning
2nd offense- Hallway chat
3rd offense- Email/call home
4th offense- Administrative Referral
Severe disruptions will require a referral to school administration or school Resource Officer.
Grades
Grades will be given according to the following grading scale:
A = 93-100%
B = 83-85%
C = 73-75%
D = 63-65%
A-= 90-92%
B-= 80-82%
C-= 70-72%
D-= 60-62%
B+=86-89%
C+=76-79%
D+=66-69%
F = Below 60%
Citizenship:
S - Appropriate behavior, punctual, prepared
N - 3rd tardy, behavior needs improvement, unprepared often
U - 5th tardy, unacceptable behavior, continuously unprepared
