Hi! Welcome to the Pride Reads member application form, thank you so much for showing an interest in joining our team!

Before you get to filling out our form, we have some information we would like to give you:

01. You can apply to join our team no matter who you are or how you identify. In other words, you do not need to be a part of the lgbtq+ community to be a member of our team.

02. We do not tolerate discrimination of any kind here. If you have previously posted hateful or discriminating messages or content at any time, against any minority, you will not be able to join our team. Furthermore, if you join our team and promote discrimination or hate of any kind in the future, we will no longer allow you to associate yourself with our community.

03. You are not required to have any set number of followers to join our team. Nor are you required to have posted any books or even have writing experience for that matter.

04. There are many roles within our community. Of course, you will be free to choose which tasks you would like to undertake once you are a member of our team. When you are an active member of the team (i.e. not on hiatus for personal reasons), you must work on the task you have been assigned to. Please do not apply if you are not prepared to be active and handle/manage tasks given to you.

05. You will need to join our discord server to communicate with the rest of our team. If you are not familiar with discord feel free to reach out to our admins via our main account or their personal accounts if you have any questions or would like help setting up a discord account!

06. We are here to promote lgbtq+ content on wattpad, provide a safe space for everyone, and (most importantly) to have fun! So, if you are ever under any pressure and/or stress, feel free to reach out to any member of our team (whether you are accepted as a member or not) and do not feel as though you cannot take time off from our community once you have joined. If you ever need to go on a hiatus of such from your duties within the community, simply bring it up with our members in the discord server. Never feel as though you have to commit entirely to your role in our community but do not use this as an excuse to ignore your duties either.

07. As a more recent requirement, you must be 16 to join our team via this form. Rare acceptations may be made but those individuals will be hand picked by our team so that we know they will be prepared to handle the responsibility that comes with being a member of our team. If you are under 16 and would like to enquire about joining, please don't hesitate to reach out! Moreover, if you are under 16 but will be turning 16 soon (i.e. within the next few weeks/couple of months) you may fill out a form here or reach out to a member of our team.

How much time are you willing to dedicate to our community and the duties you will have to undertake? *
This can be anything from an hour a week to five hours a day, for example. It is up to you, just make sure you can be flexible and at least help out every now and then. You will never have a set number of hours you need to dedicate to our community, so don't worry if you can only lend us some of your time. (no matter how much time you put, we do expect you to remain active in our discord server unless you have a valid reason for inactivity. i.e. exams, work, just generally stressed and/or busy)

Of course, members who have informed the team of any inactivity due to personal reasons (i.e. exams, personal issues, etc) will not be expected to continue on their role/task and a new member will be appointed to their role until they return.

If you post AI written stories these must be taken down before you can join our team. Likewise, if you have AI artwork/images within your book covers these need to be changed as soon as possible. Our founder, Plutointhestars, is happy to create placeholder covers for anyone who needs them while they are looking to get a new official cover for their book.
