Sharon Middle School Student Council Presents: Parents Night Off!
Hey, Sharon elementary school parents! Need a break? Want a quiet dinner alone? Need to get some shopping done? Well we've got just the thing for you! After a successful event in November, the Sharon Middle School Student Council is excited to be holding our second Parents Night Off! If you have a child (or children) in Grades 2-5 at any of the three Sharon elementary schools and you'd like for them to participate, follow these steps:

1) Fill out this Google Form to register your child/children
2) Drop your child/children off on Friday, May 3rd @ 5:30pm at Sharon Middle School. Please walk into the gym entrance with your child, (we will have signs and greeters outside to direct you), and please be sure to sign them in so that we know they have been dropped off!
3) We're asking for a $5 donation to our Student Council as admission for our spring Parents Night Off. So be sure to have $5 per child ready when dropping off! (You may also make out a check to "Sharon Middle School" if you'd like!)
4) Go enjoy a relaxing evening! :)
5) Pick up your child @ 8:00pm (or earlier if needed) by coming back into the gym entrance and signing out your child.

Q: What is the cost for this event?
A: As stated above, we're asking for $5 per child in order to help support our Student Council so that we can continue to throw fun events like these! :)

Q: What's the purpose of this event?
A: To give parents of elementary school children an opportunity for a break AND to welcome younger Sharon students to the middle school, so that they can meet older students, experience our facilities, and have fun!

Q: I have multiple children from grades 2-5. Can I sign them both/all up?
A: Yes! In the form below, just be sure to use the additional spaces (Child #2, #3) to enter more students. If you have more than 3 students you'd like to register, please email a_marrone@sharon.k12.ma.us.

Q: Can I register my child if they're in kindergarten or 1st grade? Or how about my middle schooler? Can they come by too?
A: The SMS Student Council truly would like to focus our attention on those students in upper elementary since they will be experiencing the middle school in the nearer future. Also, middle school students have their grade-level celebrations right around the same time, so the Student Council would like to focus this event on our elementary students :)

Q: I'm a parent and I would love for my child to attend, but I actually want to stick around at the event. Is that ok?
A: Of course! We are more than happy to have you! :)

Q: What's the chaperone situation?
A: Glad you asked! There will be around 10-15 middle school Student Council members there facilitating various activities. There will also be 6+ adults (administrator and teachers) overseeing the entire event.

Q: Will there be food?
A: Yup! We'll be getting lots of cheese pizza from Pizza Market! We'll also have popcorn, cookies, and water :) You may also send food/snacks with your child, but we ask to refrain from sending anything with peanut butter or nuts in general in order to be conscientious of students with allergies. Thanks!

Q: My child has some specific allergies, How can I make sure they'll be taken care of?
A: Please make sure to fill out the question below about allergies/health concerns. However, please note that we will be getting some additional cookies/snacks (e.g. Enjoy Life brand cookies, which will be placed separately from the other food), and we are happy to work with you to make sure your child is accommodated. Also, please feel free to send any specific food with your child if that helps too! :)
