We are trying to gauge people's interest and ability in attending the Analysis Ecosystems Workshop at the end of May at IJCLab in Orsay in-person. Our anticipation is that we would have a workshop of 50-70 people, so the numbers are significant, but not enormous.
COVID has perturbed every event in the HEP calendar for two years now and demonstrated a remarkable ability to throw wildcards at us that upend all planning. However, despite all the caveats, we think it's very valuable to ask people what their gut feelings are about an in-person event and we will use that to help us organise the most effective version of the workshop that we can.
We thank you very much for your anwers - there's no right or wrong here, please tell us exactly what your feelings are, positive and negative.
We provide a few contextual plots taken from
https://ourworldindata.org/, with 23 May 2021 marked to give some sense of the evolution of COVID itself moving into the European summer; and how the vaccination rate has improved since last year.
