Thanks for your interest in applying for the Graduate Students and New Professionals Community of Practice Flat-Rate and/or Membership Scholarship, the second and third of our three scholarship types offered this year. We hope that this scholarship program removes barriers for graduate students and new professionals so they are able to attend Convention or be a part of ACPA in a way that is more financially feasible.
Any questions can be directed to hannah white at
hwhite3@uoregon.edu. (Please include scholarship in the subject line so your message will be prioritized.)
This year, we are excited to be able to provide three different types of scholarships in an effort to widen access for all. THIS IS THE APPLICATION FOR FLAT-RATE AND MEMBERSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS ONLY. For information about the other scholarship (Convention Registration - closes 11/30/21), please visit
https://myacpa.org/groups/gsnpcop/.
FOR THE FLAT-RATE SCHOLARSHIP:
This scholarship is intended to cover other financial needs associated with Convention other than registration (hotel, meals, etc.) as we know that institutions might only fund certain parts of attendance. This scholarship will most likely come in the form of a reimbursement - more information will shared at the time of acceptance.
A qualified candidate must:
- be a current graduate student (Masters or Doctoral) or in the first 1-5 years of their professional role at the time of the 2022 Annual Convention.
- plan to attend the 2022 Annual Convention March 6-9, 2022 in St. Louis.
FOR THE MEMBERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP:
This scholarship is intended for grad students or new professionals who are unable to attend Annual Convention due to financial or other reasons. This scholarship will provide a year-long membership to ACPA where folks will be able to access ACPA2GO, the "Journal of College Student Development" and "About Campus", a network of Entity groups, and resources on the Strategic Imperative for Racial Justice and Decolonization.
A qualified candidate must:
- be a current graduate student (Masters or Doctoral) or in the first 1-5 years of their professional role at time of application submission
Additionally, all applicants will be evaluated on their commitment to social justice and equity, commitment to learning, and their demonstrated need.
* We are no longer requiring reference letters - applicants only need to fill out this application.*
Scholarship details, including amount and number of scholarships available will be released at a later date, but prior to Convention. For this scholarship, we are able to purchase your registration. Details for how to register will be included in the recipient information.
