Teaching with Chromebooks for Secondary Teachers

NOTE: Participants will need a Chromebook and a personal Google Account to access Google Classroom.
Chromebooks are powerful tools for teaching and learning in the classroom, but are you really using them to their full potential? Teaching with Chromebooks will explore tips and strategies to unlock all the endless possibilities Chromebooks have to offer. We will focus on the SAMR model as a framework to Substitute, Augment, Modify, and Redefine technology and learning in the classroom.
Participants will leave this course with an array of apps and extensions that work for their classrooms, along with instructional strategies for whole class, small group, individual assignments, and station activities.
At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
understand the core features and settings of your Chromebook.
prepare students to use their Chromebooks effectively.
identify the best Chrome apps and extensions for your classroom.
create detailed lessons for teaching with Chromebooks.
