Our Nevada Non-Profit 501c(3) Organization is committed to cultivating high school students within Churchill County through Leadership, Education, Awareness, and Development (LEAD). Volunteers of our organization come from various backgrounds and share a passion for leadership, service, and youth development.

LEAD On is seeking to fill the following positions. Please view our organization’s bylaws online for more information: leadgreenwave.org

President:

According to SECTION 4.02. of the bylaws: “The President shall preside at all meetings of the Corporation and of the Board of Directors at which he/she may be present; shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by these Bylaws or assigned to him/ her by the Board of Directors; and shall mentor and coordinate the work of the officers and committees of the Corporation such that the purposes of the Corporation may be promoted. The President shall be the main coordinator for the Annual Leadership Summit. It is preferred that the President would be connected to schools within Churchill County and have a vast experience working with and empowering youth.”

- Time Commitment: Varies depending on time of the year. On average 2-4 hours a - week. During the summit planning period, 4-10 hours a week.
- Duties: Attend and lead monthly board meetings. Coordinate the work of all officers - and LEAD On Committees. Main coordinator of the Annual Leadership Summit. Preferred - Qualifications: Experience with schools within Churchill County and
working with youth. Executive leadership skills. Communication and ability to delegate. Strong vision for LEAD On and connection to Churchill County.
       
Board Member (3):

Bylaws pertaining to the Board Members:
SECTION 3.01 General Powers. All of the business and affairs of the Corporation shall be managed and controlled by the Board of Directors.
SECTION 3.02. Composition. The Board of Directors of the Corporation shall consist of seven (7) individuals who are voting Members. Members shall be selected and approved by the Board in a manner chosen by the Board.
SECTION 3.03. Terms of Office. Appointees to the Board of Directors will serve a minimum two (2) year term. The Board of Directors, by majority vote of other Members, may extend or terminate the term of any Member. At the expiration of the Member’s term, the Member’s position will be filled by the Board. There are no limits to the number of terms a Director may serve.

- Time Commitment: Attend monthly board meetings (1-2 hours). Volunteer to help in additional areas as see fit.
- Duties: Serve on the advisory and decision making body of the non-profit
organization. Vote on financial matters, membership, and overall operations of LEAD
On. Assist in LEAD On initiatives when needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with youth. Involvement in and
outside of Churchill County.

Executive Vice President:

According to SECTION 4.03 of the Bylaws: “Executive Vice President. The Vice President shall act as an aid to the President and shall perform the duties of the President in the absence or disability of that officer to act; he/she shall carry out such additional duties as may be assigned to him/her by the President or the Board of Directors. It is preferred that the Vice President would be a high school senior or junior within Churchill County. The Execute Vice President shall be the main coordinator for the Ambassador Program and lead recruitment for the Annual Leadership Summit."
- Time Commitment: Varies depending on time of year. Average estimate, 2-4 hours a week.
- Duties: Assist President in overall operations. Attend monthly board meetings. Main
coordinator fo the Ambassador Program.
- Preferred Qualifications: high school junior or senior within Churchill County.
Leadership experience. Strong communication skills.
       
 Vice President of Development:

According to SECTION 4.04 of the Bylaws: “The Vice President of Development shall sustain, elevate, and promote LEAD On’s initiatives. The Vice President of Development shall be the main coordinator of the Mentorship and Scholarship Program.”

- Time Commitment: Varies depending on time of year. Average estimate, 2-3 hours a week.
- Duties: Sustain, elevate, and promote LEAD On’s initiatives. Main coordinator of Mentorship and Scholarship Program.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with youth. Involvement in and outside of Churchill County. Delegation experience.

Vice President of Communication:

According to SECTION 4.05 of the Bylaws: “The Vice President of Communication shall author press releases, interact with the press on behalf of LEAD On, as well as maintain and promote the LEAD On website, social media, and overall brand. The Vice President of Communication shall be the main coordinator for the Connector Program.”

- Time Commitment: Varies depending on time of year. Average 1-2 hours a week
- Duties: Lead social media content creation and web management. Write press
releases and assist in overall communication efforts of the organization. Main
coordinator of the Connector Program.
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong writer. Website, social media, and content creation
experience

Vice President of Fundraising:

According to SECTION 4.06 of the Bylaws: “The Vice President of Fundraising shall work to garner financial support from key stakeholders to help fund initiatives including but not limited to, the Annual Leadership Summit and Scholarship Program. They shall communicate and work with the Treasurer and Board of Directors on the financial matters of LEAD On.”

- Time Commitment: Varies depending on time of year. Average 1-2 hours a week
- Duties: Build and maintain relationships with key financial stakeholders.
Communicate and work with the Treasurer and Board of Directors on the financial
matters of LEAD On.
- Preferred Qualifications: Fundraising experience. Connections to Churchill County
business and community leaders.
     
Vice President of Engagement:

According to SECTION 4.07 of the Bylaws: “The Vice President of Engagement shall connect and act as a liaison with key community stakeholders. They shall build and maintain key relationship while promoting initiatives including but not limited to the Annual Leadership Summit, Scholarship Program, Mentorship Program, and Ambassador Program. They shall assist the President and Executive Vice President in recruitment efforts for the Annual Leadership Summit.”

- Time Commitment: Varies depending on time of year. Average estimate, three hours a month. Increased hours, 2-4 hours a week, during leadership summit preparation
- Duties: Connect and act as a liaison with key community stakeholders. Help lead the
recruitment of student participants for the annual Leadership Summit.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with youth. Involvement in and
outside of Churchill County. Connection to schools within Churchill County

Administrative Assistant:

According to SECTION 4.08 of the Bylaws: “The Administrative Assistant shall ensure records of the minutes of all meetings of the Corporation and of the Board of Directors are maintained, distribute minutes at least three days prior to the meeting, and shall perform such other duties as may be delegated to him/her.”

- Time Commitment: 1-2 hours a month, depending on how often the Board of Directors meet.
- Duties: Record and distribute meeting minutes. Secure meeting locations and times, and distribute meeting agendas
- Preferred Qualifications: Strong Communicator.

Treasurer:

According to SECTION 4.09 of the Bylaws: “The Treasurer shall ensure all financial transactions are accounted for and in compliance with all City, County, State and Federal regulations. They shall communicate and work with the Vice President of Fundraising and Board of Directors on the financial matters of LEAD On.”

- Time Commitment: Varies depending on time of year. Average estimate, two hours a month.
- Duties: They shall communicate and work with the Vice President of Fundraising and board of directors on the financial matters of LEAD On
