The team of Prof. Chris Elliott from Queen's University of Belfast, the food fraud testing startup Bia Analytical Ltd., the scientific modelling & data analytics leader Creme Global, and the food safety intelligence company Agroknow are working together on piloting predictive analytics in food integrity scenarios. An industry innovation group is being set up, inviting people that would be interested to follow the relevant developments, participate in shaping requirements, and try how predictive analytics work for ingredients and raw materials of high importance to their work. It would make sense to subscribe to a cloud-based, online platform.

For our company, it should be a dedicated solution that we can set up at our own servers.

What range of investment you find reasonable, if predictive analytics can really help your company prevent an incident before it happens?

It should definitely not cost more than $10,000-$20,000 per year.

I would find it reasonable to pay between $30,000-$60,000 per year.

If it is costs less than $100,000-$150,000 I would not consider it serious and reliable.
