Ventana Vista Elementary School will collect food and items for the holidays for families in need in our community. We realize that some families are experiencing food insecurity and may not have resources to buy clothes for the winter season, household items or toys for the children. Donations will be distributed by appointment that is convenient with each family December 21st or 22nd.
We will collect food between December 4 and December 20 in the office. Our goal is to distribute donated food to families in need who have students at Ventana Vista Elementary School and to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
In addition, we will organize collections of clothes, toys and household items, such as toiletries and cleaning supplies for Ventana Vista families in need. The donations will be accepted in the classrooms with teachers communicating the specific needs, such as socks for a five year old or jacket for a boy size 8.
Please let us know if your family would benefit from receiving food or other items by completing this survey by Wednesday, December 6. The identifying information submitted on this form will be kept confidential between Ms. Gulley, the school counselor, and administration.
