The Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans' (CAPA's) Asian American/Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Festival is the longest continuously running pan-Asian American Festival on the East Coast and this year's celebration is particularly special because 2019 marks the 40th annual Festival. Over these past 4 decades, over 100 AAPI nonprofits have participated, reflecting the rich diversity of Asian American/Pacific Islander cultures and promoting inclusiveness and collaboration. Event Hours: 11AM- 4PM
Location: Mott Street, from Canal to Chatham Square, Manhattan's Chinatown
Volunteer work includes setting up tents and tables, putting up signs, overseeing tents/games/tables/chairs, providing more information to visitors, directing visitors to stop by, keeping walkways cleared, breaking down, and cleaning up.
Volunteers may request proof of service after the event.
Shifts available:
8am-11am (Setup, assist during event)
11am-3pm (Assist during event)
3pm-6pm (Close down event, clean-up/break down)
