Pottery 101: Students will experience an introduction to pottery through hand building with clay. You will be given the opportunity to produce mugs, bowls, ornaments, and figurines, to name a few. A bag of clay is yours to use for the week’s creations which will be glazed by the instructor when class is over. While constructing your pieces and learning about the process, you will learn some Geometry and Chemistry tidbits too! This camp includes the option to continue working on projects on 7/5 and 7/6. Students may exhibit their work at the B21 Back-to-School Night in the Fall.

Phoenix Publishing: Students will collaborate to complete the 2022-2023 Phoenix (Building 21 Yearbook). Students will design the pages and prepare them for submission to our publisher. Students will also work together to decide the theme for next year's book!

Law & Order:   Students will spend the week exploring the criminal justice system, with meetings and hands on experiences with the Lehigh County District Attorney’s and Public Defender’s Office, Allentown Police Department, and other members of the city and county justice system.  If the court calendar permits, the experience will include visiting the Lehigh County Courthouse to witness a trial in progress.

Phoenix Fitness: Students will learn the rules and participate in a variety of both team and individual sports activities.  The week will include a visit to LVHN’s Sports Medicine facility at One City Center.  Students needing PE remediation may have the opportunity to earn credit for the activities included in this experience.
