There are some inherent safety risks to working with students in and around water. Please take a moment to understand and acknowledge them before beginning your journey with us.

We regularly help students of all ages enter/exit the water. Everyone (including front desk staff) also need to be ready to aide/carry a young swimmer in the event of an accident or emergency situation. *

I understand that I may need to carry young students and assist older swimmers.

I understand that lifting primarily using my back is dangerous and may result in injury.

I will always lift using my legs with proper technique. I will ask for help before performing any lift I don't feel comfortable attempting.

We frequently move the teaching islands and regularly load/unload supplies and pool chemicals. Any available staff are often asked to assist and this can require lifting objects that are 50+ lbs in weight. *

I understand that I may be asked to help with routine tasks by lifting objects that weigh 50+ lbs.

We work in close contact with our students. Young swimmers, particularly toddlers and babies, love to touch/grab. This presents a problem for teachers wearing glasses and those with piercings. We strongly advise you NOT TO WEAR expensive glasses or eye-catching jewelry to prevent personal injury or damaged accessories. *

I understand that wearing glasses and/or jewelry is risky for working with children.

I understand that Swimmerman advises me NOT to wear any valuable or attention-grabbing items.

If I choose to wear anything while onsite, I assume all risks of damage to the items.

If I choose to wear anything while onsite, I assume all risks of personal injury.

We live in a new world where COVID, masks, testing and vaccinations are part of life. Here is what we need/expect from you: *

I understand that I am not required to get vaccinated, but must share my vaccination status with my Site Manager.

I understand that I may be required to get tested regularly and share my results with my Site Manager.

I understand that, if I test positive for COVID-19, I will have to work with my manager to plan my quarantine, testing, and return to work.
