Nomination Statement Guide
To ensure that your nominee receives proper consideration, please take the time to be thoughtful and detailed when writing the nomination. The Selection Committee will make decisions solely based on the information supplied in your nomination form.
  • Provide comments that highlight the nominee’s overall contribution based on the list of criteria.
  • Use specific and detailed rather than general praise. The more examples you can provide the better. Give examples of the nominee's accomplishments over time; don't just focus on one specific instance or occasion.
Remember that the committee members reviewing recommendations can only base the decision on what you submit. Take your time to be specific. Help the committee members understand what this person has done. Imagine that none of them has ever met your nominee before and go from there.

Explain in detail how this nomination is related to at least two of the awards criteria (Please note examples below prior to drafting your responses):

  • Leadership and vision within the organization and/or career development community.
  • Development and support of ongoing professional learning opportunities.
  • Caring and competent professional(s) whose knowledge, skills, and talents are valued by clients and colleagues.
