2024 Royal Guard Performing Arts Winter Guard Cast Audition & Membership Interest Form

Royal Guard Performing Arts was formed in the spring of 2019 in the Greater Twin Cities Metropolitan Area of Minnesota.  The organization is dedicated to the personal growth and leadership development of young adults  through performing arts.  We invite you to come grow with us!

Plans are underway for the 2024 winter guard season, and we are looking to grow our cast of performers.  Our next Cast Audition will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023 for our Independent A Class Winter Guard.  The Audition event will run from 10am-4pm at a soon to be determined location.  There is a $25 audition fee to participate.  This amount will be applied to your membership fees if you become a member.  Fees may be paid by cash, check, credit card or VENMO when you check-in at the Audition.  Equipment will be available or you may bring your own.

Color guard and movement/dance experience is helpful but not required as training and instruction will be provided.  Membership is open to all performers ages 15-22 (may not be over 22 years of age as of 12:01 AM on April 1, 2024).  Note:  If you are in high school, and your school has a competitive winter guard program, you should continue to perform with your school until you graduate.  

During the season, most of our rehearsals will be held in West St. Paul; however we sometimes utilize other facilities in the Greater Twin Cities Metro Area.  Royal Guard will rehearse most Saturdays October-January in preparation for the performance season.  We will have some Friday night rehearsals and a few rare Sunday rehearsals during the year.  The performance and competition season begins in late January and runs through early April.  

For the 2024 Season, we plan to perform and compete in the North Star Color Guard Circuit.  We are excited to offer a positive team experience and a manageable schedule for our performing members.  It is our goal to make winter guard available to all who want to experience the activity, learn new performance and leadership skills and make life-long friendships.  Schedules will be discussed in greater detail at the event on October 21st.

Interested performers will participate in cast auditions and will also go through a membership interview process.  Please check your email and the Royal Guard Facebook, Instagram and website for frequent updates.
