“International
Business Negotiation” is a selective course for business majors seeking a
master’s degree. This course is intended to enable students to have a general
knowledge of definitions, processes and models of international business
negotiations, while laying emphasis on verbal and non-verbal features of
language (mainly English) use in negotiations and their respective results on
the outcome of business negotiations.
This
course follows the notions of “Putting theory into practice” and “Learning by
doing,” thus it is taught through lectures plus simulations so that the
students can have a better understanding of what negotiations are about – the
related theories and practices; principles and models; strategies and tactics,
as well as protocols and etiquettes. The ultimate goal is to train students to
develop negotiation thinking and awareness, so as to improve their negotiation
skills in their professional life.
Language in class: English.
Therefore, students are expected to have a high level in English, especially
spoken English
