The Preschool Program administration will be contacting you in December/January about your intentions & preferences for next year's program.____________________________________________________________The Special Education Department of Waltham Public Schools has integrated preschool programs located at the Northeast & Stanley Elementary Schools.An integrated classroom is one in which less than half of the children have a diagnosed special need. In order to provide identified children with access to typical peers, children without diagnosed or suspected needs are recruited to attend classes on a part time basis.To qualify for consideration children MUST:- Reside in Waltham with parent/legal guardian.
- Have reached the age of either 3 or 4 years old by September 1st of the applicable school year.
- Have access to their own transportation.
Programs, Schedules & Tuition Rates may be subject to change for 2023-24:Morning program for 3 year old children: - Currently held Wednesday, Thursday & Friday mornings from 9:00am to 11:15am
- Located at both locations
- Yearly tuition is $2363.00
- NOTE: There is a maximum of 40 spots available each year for this program.
Afternoon program for 4 year old children: - Currently held Wednesday, Thursday & Friday afternoons from 12:00pm to 2:15pm
- Located at both locations

- NOTE: There is a maximum of 40 spots available each year for this program however, returning students from the previous year have an opportunity to secure a spot prior to the lottery.
Full Day Program for 4 year old children (WAITLIST for this program is CLOSED as of 2/7/2023): - Currently held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday from 9:00am - 2:45pm
- Located ONLY at Stanley Elementary School
- Yearly tuition is $7350.00
- NOTE: There are a maximum of 8 spots available each year for this program.
Completing the application below indicates that you are interested in having your child considered for the Waltham Public Schools Integrated Preschool Program. It does not guarantee that your child will be accepted to the program. Families who submitted an application on or before January 15th will be contacted by the middle of February with either an Integrated Preschool Program invitation and/or waitlist status. ALL applications submitted after January 15th will automatically be placed on a waitlist. Waitlisted families will be contacted by a member of the Parent Information Center as soon as there is an opening for your child.
