Theatre in Libraries

Tessa Bide Productions is an award winning theatre company based in Bristol, making shows for young people and their families. We are currently developing a brand new adaptation of Julia Donaldson's "The Detective Dog" which will tour to libraries and theatres across the UK in 2023/2024.

"The Detective Dog" is an accessible, innovative show for ages 3+ with integrated BSL, creative captions, puppetry and music.

As part of our research we want to find out what a theatre show in a library can look like, how much space you have, what your audience is like and what you can afford when programming your events. We have asked a variety of questions so that we can begin to design the show for libraries specifically.
