Parent/Guardian Permission Form for Class of 2024 Senior Grad Walk Participation

Grad Walk Information:

- Students must arrive to CHS by 8:00am on May 9 and report to the main campus cafeteria.

- Attendance will be taken and bus assignments will be given out.

- Buses will be loaded at 8:45 and we will depart CHS soon after.

- We will travel to all seven district elementary schools where our seniors will walk through the halls in their cap and gown. Elementary students will be standing in the hallways cheering them on.

- The event serves as an inspiration to the district’s young students who are just beginning their academic journeys to aspire to earn a high school diploma. It also provides seniors with the chance to walk through their elementary hallways one last time to appreciate how far they have come and acknowledge the people and places that have been part of their academic journey to Graduation Day.

- Students will return to CHS between 12:00-12:30pm.

- All seniors participating in the Grad Walk MUST ride the bus to and from each elementary school.

STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE GRADUATION CEREMONY ON MAY 9 IF THEY DO NOT ACT APPROPRIATELY DURING THE GRAD WALK.

Students must follow all rules in the St. Bernard Parish Guide to Student Conduct during the event.

Pins are being made for students to wear on their gown during the event that will represent the district elementary school attended. If students did not attend an elementary school in the district, they will receive a pin with the CHS logo.

I give permission for my child to ride a school bus to each elementary school. I understand that if my child does not act appropriately during the event, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.
