[Dr. Dvora Joseph Davey] Bridging the gaps: An Implementation Science approach to deliver PrEP to pregnant and breastfeeding women with high risk for HIV acquisition in South Africa
Thank you for your interest in attending the December UCLA Department of Epidemiology Seminar featuring Dr. Dvora Joseph Davey.  Dr. Joseph Davey is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Fielding School of Public Health.

Dr. Joseph Davey is an HIV epidemiologist whose research focuses on how best to prevent and treat HIV and other sexually transmitted infections in peri-conception, pregnant women and couples, as well as other vulnerable populations. She has expertise in study design and use of epidemiological methods to inform interventions aimed at reducing the burden of HIV and related diseases. She is the Principal Investigator on a cohort study of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in pregnant and breastfeeding women in Cape Town (Fogarty International Research Science Development Award K01) and co-Investigator on the corresponding clinical trial (NIMH R01). She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at UCLA, and Honorary Senior Lecturer of Epidemiology at the University of Cape Town, where she teaches epidemiology courses and mentors MPH and PhD students.

The seminar will be held from 12-1 pm on December 10 in CHS Room .
