The Firestone Competition is a Hamilton County Scouts BSA event at which Scouts compete for camp merit scholarships based on their Scouting knowledge and skills.  There is no minimum rank requirement, but older Scouts who have advanced in rank are more likely to score sufficient points in the competition to earn a scholarship.  Top scoring Scouts will receive a full scholarship to camp, while those in the next tier of scores will receive partial scholarships.  Scholarship funds will be applied to the cost of the Scout attending Crossroads of America Scouts BSA summer camp.

Date:    May 8, 2021
Time:   8:00AM to 3:30PM
Place:  Central Park - East Shelters - Westfield Boulevard, Carmel, IN (Note change!!)

In the event COVID restrictions prevent an in-person event, the competition will be held virtually.

Competition requirements will not be relaxed for Scouts who are younger or lower in rank.  However, regardless of age or ability, the competition can be good practice for future years -- and can be fun!

The deadline for registration is April 28, 2021 (or earlier if maximum enrollment of  40 Scouts is reached).
