The ASLC Appointment Process: 
  • Complete this application and you will be contacted by the ASLC 23-24 Cabinet and invited to a meeting to be interviewed for the ASLC role you are applying for.  NOTE: ASLC appointment interviews begin in July when ASLC 23-24 officially takes office.
  • At the Appointment Interview ASLC will ask you a short series of questions. ASLC will then deliberate and vote to determine if you will be appointed to the role you applied for. 
  • If you are appointed to the role you applied for, you will immediately read "The Oath of Office" and be sworn into your position and welcomed into ASLC by the ASLC President. 
  • Once you are appointed into ASLC you will receive an email to get access to your official ASLC email and ASLC 23-34 trainings and information. Your name will be added to the ASLC Student Government webpage. NOTE: ASLC may require that you submit a photo to posted on the Student Government webpage.

I will maintain regular attendance at all ASLC meetings. Any member who fails to attend three meetings shall be brought before the Student Governance board and Student Activities Advisor/Director for review. For a more detailed explanation of this process, see the ASLC Constitution.

I will attend weekly ASLC meetings in person, and only attend on zoom due to extenuating circumstances.  *
I will actively participate in ASLC meetings, planning and hosting events on campus, and the coordination of ASLC duties. *
Student Government members are expected to represent students with integrity and the highest standards of character. Those students whose behavior is deemed inappropriate will be removed from the council.

ALL Student Government leaders must maintain a 2.0 grade point average, and carry a minimum of 5 units. Grades will be checked by Student Activities Director/Advisor to determine if my average meets the requirements.
