Thank you for your interest in joining - or renewing your membership with - the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition!
We are a collective of organizations that share a common goal: tangible action towards poverty reduction in our province. We appreciate and value the variety of perspectives that come together at the Coalition table.
Bi-monthly meetings: The Coalition meets virtually every 2 months to discuss strategic priorities, provide campaign updates, and provide mutual support for our shared goals. Each member organization nominates one person as their main contact. This person will receive all BCPRC communications and is invited to attend Coalition meetings.
Benefits of membership: Through Coalition meetings, we gain strategic direction from our membership on poverty reduction policy priorities. Under this guidance, we leverage the strength of our collective voice to do direct advocacy work that aligns with BCPRC members' priorities. We also work to connect member organizations directly with advocacy opportunities at the municipal and provincial levels.
Promotion and amplification of member events and campaigns is crucial to our shared success. We get the word out through social media, our website and our digital newsletters.
In order to sustain our work as an organization, we have determined four ranges of annual financial contribution for incoming and returning members. These levels are determined in line with your organization's budget. Note that the contribution levels are meant as guidelines. We trust you to make a fair decision regarding what your organization can contribute.
A: no-cost membership option, for organizations that cannot contribute financially.
B: $100 - $500 for organizations with an annual budget under $500,000
C: $750 - $2,500 for organizations with an annual budget between $500,000 to $2 million
D: $5,000 - $10,000 for organizations with an annual budget over $2 million
If you select a paid membership option, please clarify the amount that we can send on an invoice.
