This hybrid lesson for children ages 6 – 11 gathered in First Day School classes and family homes around the NYM region. Through conversation, art, movement, story, food, and song, we will explore living thankfully, treasuring the moment, and growing gratitude in daily life. We will read Our Table, by Peter Reynolds, about a girl who helps her family appreciate their time together. Children will make gratitude jars to place at home and banana sushi to share with their families. Class will close with centering on a children’s version of the Haudenosaumi Thanksgiving Address. There is no charge for the class, but registration is required. Families will receive further information upon registration. Teachers: Sue Pezanoski-Browne and George Wortz (Milwaukee) and Sita Diehl (Madison).
