Summary:
/ The Mentoring Program is designed as a mix of informal & formal online sessions dedicated to young people (age 18-24)
/ We aim to work with young people from underserved communities, especially NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), offering them new perspectives in a constantly evolving industry.
/ Mentees will have the possibility to develop soft skills & solve a set of challenges/tasks created for each field of study.
Objectives:
- Education & digitalization by offering alternative online learning experiences
- Help young people understand game dev jobs/career paths
- Promoting the gaming industry and what it has to offer in terms of development & careers
- Giving back to the community
- Leveraging Internships & entry-level jobs for young people
What it means for the Mentors - The achievements:

What it means for the young people (mentees) - The achievements:
+ A better understanding of the industry & how/what to learn

Miscellaneous:
Before starting the program, mentors will:
1. Decide the number of hours* needed for a mentee to complete the program
2. Create the structure of the sessions**: challenges/tasks/assessments, listing free learning materials
3. Receive dedicated materials & support on “How to be a mentor.”
*the amount of time each mentor should dedicate to the program is at least 1hour/week/mentee
** also considered as volunteering & mentors can choose the amount of time they want to dedicate to it (recommended 30min for a call with the Arden representative & 2-5 hours for creating the structure).
The mentoring sessions will be held online.
The matching between mentors & mentees will be done via a dedicated group. The process will be explained in-depth before starting the program.
