The Cordova Tutorial PTA Sign Up 
Parents and Caregivers of currently registered famiilies are invited to lend their time and talent in support of the students and tutors at the Tutorial. This is a volunteer organization led by Tutor Brenda Lamey under the direction of the TCT Administration.  PTA Members will support students and tutor led activities such as Graduation, Night of the Arts, Fall Festival, School Dances, etc.  The PTA will work to facilitate 2 fundraisers through the year (spring and fall) that will benefit the Tutorial.  The PTA will also coordinate a Tutor Appreciation Week and Trinity Appreciation Week.  Additionally, the PTA will provide on campus support for Lunch and Carline duties and subbing through the year.  Please read the following statements and policies and indicate any way you feel called to offer your help and support. 
If you indicate your desire to join the PTA, you will be added to a roster for communication and planning purposes and the Remind App for texting.

I am interested in joining the PTA *
There are no fees attached to PTA membership.  However, monies may be collected during fundraisers or Appreciation weeks.  Are you willing to act as a treasurer and maintain receipts, checks and balances, and coordinate funds for activities? Background check may be required.  If yes, please type your name.   *
We will ask the PTA to do a fall and spring fundraiser.  Please indicate your interest in facilitating or coordinating with others in this activity.  *
The Student Council needs many helping hands to put on events and requires chaperones.  Please let us know if you can help with these events.   *
Subbing Opportunity
Please let us know if you are available to sub during class time.  Lyndy Sossaman will facilitate a sub list and reach out to you as needed.  
I am available to substitute teach for tutors. Please indicate availability. 
Clear selection
Membership in the TCT PTA is contingent on the parent or caregiver agreeing to the policies and statements set out by the Tutorial.  Members understand this is a volunteer organization that works under the leadership of the Tutorial.  Members will defer to Tutors or Trinity Staff in matters of policy or discipline.  Members also understand that our staff and students, indeed our entire Tutorial, are guests of Trinity Baptist church and will respect the staff and space provided to us.

Mission Statement:
We strive to work hand in hand with parents to challenge, inspire and empower students to fully glorify God with their gifts and talents.  We endeavor to inspire young men and women to embark on a path of lifelong learning so they will more fully bear God’s image to the world.  

Statement Of Purpose:
    * To support and encourage parents as they endeavor to prepare their children to become responsible, mature adults.            
   *To assist parents in teaching their children to distinguish truth from falsehood.
   * To reinforce parents’ God given role in their children’s character development through teachers who teach from a biblical world view.            

Statement Educational Philosophy and Faith:  
Our philosophy is that teaching from the heart will communicate more than just facts and figures.  We strive to teach in our areas of passion.  We want to inspire students to consume the truths from each subject we teach.  Our teachers are committed to teaching from a biblical worldview.  We believe that God’s word is inerrant, and that He teaches us in His word to use our gifts to bear His image to our students.  All of our teachers have professed to be followers of Christ and have signed a statement of faith.  We do not require our students to be a believer of Christ in order to participate in our classes at The Cordova Tutorial. We welcome students and families from all faiths.
