Finance Committee
Plan budget in keeping with church programs and ministry in harmony with the various elected committees of the church. To monitor all income and expenditures. Duties include: Meet monthly to review church purchases and approve necessary purchases and expenditures, submit a report to the deacon body for their approval at each regular meeting, be responsible for recommending budgetary changes if and when needed, develop an annual budget plan for the deacons and church to review and vote on before the beginning of each fiscal year.
Missions Committee
The purpose of the Missions Committee is to support the local, domestic, and foreign missions endeavors of Woodmont Baptist Church. Duties include: Meet monthly, prepare the Missions budget, promote opportunities for volunteer mission involvement, encourage the church to pray, give and go in support of missions.
Nominating Committee
To lead the church in filling all church-elected leadership positions filled by volunteer members. Duties include: Select, interview, and enlist church program organization leaders, church committee, chairpersons, committee members, and general church officers. Approve volunteer workers before they are invited to serve in church-elected leadership positions.
Personnel Committee
To assist the church and pastor in the securing of all personnel. (Professional staff members will be subject to the call of the church). Office, maintenance, housekeeping, kitchen, nursery, day care and any other full or part time employees are under the authority of the personnel committee. Duties include: Recommend the hiring of any full or part time new staff position to meet the ministry needs and to interview and recommend wage and salary ranges for each staff position. Review the performance of each church employee, both professional and support staff and recommend wage and salary changes and benefits from time to time. The personnel committee serves as liaison for all staff members. Develop employee manual that spells out church policy with regard to office hours, vacation, time off, sick leave and all other personnel matters.
Property & Grounds Committee
To oversee the maintenance of all church property in order that the buildings and grounds will be attractive, useful and properly maintained. Give general oversight on use of all equipment for the maintaining ofall buildings and grounds. (Some duties may be assigned to staff members, However, the committee remains responsible to see the purpose is carried out).
