Larry Cao, Senior Director for Industry Research in our Hong Kong Office, will  come and speak on the topic of Using AI and Big Data to Solve Core Investment Problems following the publication by CFA Institute of a report on AI Pioneers in Investment Management.

Session Description:

The CFA Institute report, AI Pioneers in Investment Management, seeks to identify high impact applications of AI and big data in investment management and best practices for their implementation. The researchers worked with various investment and technology firms to develop 10 concrete cases of organizations around the world that use AI and big data to enhance their core investment processes.

Larry,  author of the report, will describe the findings of his research and discuss the following issues:
 - Which AI and big data techniques have been the most helpful in enhancing the investment process?
 - What are the hurdles preventing the industry from adopting AI and big data techniques more broadly?
 - What are some of the best organizational and operational approaches that are effective in bringing about change?
