Community Garden Registration
A copy of this registration form will be sent to the email address that you provide and a paper copy of the information below is available at the open house event table.

Program Duration: April 3rd - October 1st
The cost of bed rental is $35

By becoming a member of the Community Garden Program, you agree to the following and understand the nature of this casual program.


Rules
- Designated renter must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Smoking, use of alcohol, and use of illegal substances are not permitted at any time
- Renters must keep the lock code secure and private to ensure the safety of everyone's gardens
- Renters must lock the gate, shed, and porta-john upon leaving the premises
- No pets are permitted past the garden gates
- Trash must be disposed of properly
- Tires are not permitted at the garden
- External programing at the garden must be approved by MCPARC and the City of Fairmont
- Once a bed is assigned, no transfers are permitted
- Bed assignments can carryover to the next year permitting the program is a success and the rental fee is paid
- Renters can bring their own seeds but the following crops are prohibited; morning glory, english ivy, cannabis, white moonflower, mint
- Renters can use their own natural pest/ disease control methods
- Synthetic pesticides and fertilizers are prohibited
- If your crops present themselves with diseases such as tomato blight or powdery mildew, the plants should be removed from the garden and not composted. Please report diseases to the Garden Coordinator.
- Any bed that remains unattended for more than two weeks may be re-rented
- Personal items, i.e. tools, soil components, seeds, are not permitted to be left at the garden
- Children must be supervised while at the garden. No drop offs are permitted. If we find that a minor has been abandoned, authorities will be contacted immediately.
- MCPARC staff reserves the right to edit these rules at any time

MCPARC’s “Grow with Us” community garden program serves as an opportunity for community members and organizations to have access to raised-bed gardening, and provides individuals and groups with an environment to learn how to plant, nurture, tend to, and harvest fresh produce.
