Stakeholder Survey on Proposed Degree Programme in Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Gerontology

Stakeholders are invited to provide their feedback on a proposed Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Gerontology degree program at the National Institute of Social Development (NISD). NISD has a social development mandate and significantly contributes to social work education in the country. It is proposed that an honours degree program in gerontology be offered to future undergraduate students who wish to pursue careers as gerontologists in both national and international job markets. At the faculty board meeting on October 3.6.1, 2023, a survey was conducted to determine the demand for the program, the appropriate structure, and the relevant course units. The department committee is seeking your input on this initiative, and the information you provide will be used solely to conduct a need analysis of the proposed curriculum and will not be shared for any other purpose.
