APECS Remote Sensing Database Survey
The APECS Remote Sensing Database Project Group (https://www.apecs.is/who-we-are/leadership/council/council-project-groups.html) is seeking to review the applications and technical specifications of satellite remote sensing data within the Polar and Cryosphere community. On this basis, we are conducting this survey to collect information on how you are using satellite remote sensing data in your research. The survey results will be used to generate a dynamic and interactive public database of remote sensing data sources along with their key attributes (e.g. instrument type, data type, spatial and temporal coverage, applications, data access, processing, etc.) with the primary focus on polar regions. We define the “Polar and Cryosphere community” as anyone studying in one of the three Poles (the Arctic, Antarctic or the Himalayan region) or across the Alpine Cryosphere. We hope this database can be used as a resource by people at all levels of their career and by researchers/educators across the globe.
