Staff members may apply for a grant to fund projects, activities, books, equipment or anything that enhances the academic lives of students at Needmore Elementary.

Application forms are due 1 week prior to the upcoming PTO meeting in order to be placed on the meeting agenda.

Applicants are asked to present their requests at the PTO meeting. If you are unable to attend, you may send a colleague to present for you. Please note: Assigning a proxy to present your request could result in delay of funds if additional questions arise that cannot be answered by proxy.

All staff/teacher requests are welcome and considered. Each request will be reviewed by the PTO Board Members and scored with the same rubric. Please note: Preference will be given to requests that benefit the most students and/or longest length of benefit. This; however, should not discourage smaller projects to apply.

Needmore PTO has a specific budget for grant requests every year. Grants are available until the max allowed is reached. You will be notified, within 1 week after your presentation, if your request will be fully funded, partially funded, or passed on for the quarter/school year. 

Upon approval, funds may be available immediately and must be used prior to the end of the school year.

Please note: The PTO is unable to fund purchases that were made prior to submitting an application and receiving appropriate approval.

Funding can be in the form of 

• Reimbursement check: Only items preapproved in this grant application will be reimbursed. A receipt(s) must be turned in no later than the next PTO meeting.

• Invoice paid by PTO Check:  only preapproved items.

• PTO Debit card: a PTO officer can arrange to use the PTO debit card online.

• No gift cards are allowed.
