Community/High School Ensemble - $75


This consortium is for a Grade 4 wind band composition comprised of 5 short movements based on folk song archetypes — the pastorale, the lullaby, the love ballad, prophetic song, etc. The full suite will be playable either in its entirety, or as individual movements. Difficulty level will be in the vicinity of the Holst Suites or most Grainger works with a slightly more modern harmonic language (and a touch of sarcasm).


Completed composition will be delivered in the fall of 2022. Consortium members will have exclusive performance rights for one year upon delivery of the completed work and will be listed in the composition's front matter. Consortium fee includes the composer’s remote attendance at one rehearsal of the work (schedule permitting), and delivery of .pdf score and parts. Delivery of hard-copy scores can be arranged as well.
