Troop 1 will send at least one crew to Philmont Scout Ranch in 2025, but first we need to apply for a date. Dates are determined in a lottery system. The lottery is already open, but we will get a date - Responses are Due Feb 1, 2024.

Youth participants must be 14 years of age OR 13 years of age and completed the 8th grade by date of participation. Crews must have at least 8 members which include 3 adults (2 of whom are over 21).

This is just a preliminary survey to identify how many crews we should put in for. Once we get awarded trek(s) participants will be asked to make a commitment of $100 as a deposit. Total estimated Cost for Philmont is about $2000 per participant which  includes travel, food, etc. Spending money is not included in this estimate. Philmont treks in 2025 are $1,675/ea
