Another school year is just around the corner, and we are excited to share our online registration form and our class dates with you for our 2023-2024 school year with Forest City School for Strings!
Here are the vital details for the upcoming school year:

Location: Banting Secondary School
Class Times:
Twinkle-Late Book 1: 9:00-10:30 = Musicianship and Repertoire Classes - Tuition: $675
Junior-Intermediates (Book 2, RCM 2 +): 9:00-12:00 = Musicianship and Composition, Repertoire Class, and Junior/Intermediate Orchestra - Tuition: $950
Senior Violin/Viola/Cello (high school): 8:30-12:00 = Chamber music, Repertoire Class, and Senior Orchestra - Tuition: $1350
Performance Classes: Thanks to fundraising efforts of our board and the generous support of several donors, FCSS is proud to offer monthly solo opportunities with piano to ALL students. Performance Class Dates are TBA!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE for participation in our first class on Sept. 23 is: Sunday, Sept. 10th @ 11:59PM
We will send you your class assignment details along with your tuition invoice and how to make your payment by no later than September 18th, 2023.
Guest Attendance: Those wishing to visit the program are welcome but must announce their presence in advance by confirming their visit with Ellen Yamanaka (contact info below). No guest visits on our first day Sept. 23.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Instrument Fair (Buy and Sell) in the Banting SS Lobby from 9am-12:00pm on September 23rd. If you have an instrument you would like to sell, please reserve a place at one of our tables by contacting Sylvie Tremblay (
