We are so happy to welcome your child(ren) and your family to Abington Monthly Meeting!
In order to better serve the children and families in the Meeting, we'd like to get a sense of the AMM children and youth in the Meeting and then to provide you the opportunity to register your child(ren) for First Day School (FDS) or childcare.
This information is being gathered by the The Children’s Religious Education (CRE) Committee. The CRE is a group of caring AMM members and attenders who coordinate programming for our Meeting’s children and youth.
* If you are not registering any child(ren) in the First Day School and/or Childcare program, please indicate their membership or affiliation with the Abington Monthly Meeting using this form, so that we may know who our young members and attenders are. You can answer 'no' on the program registration questions or simply skip the questions regarding program registration. There are opportunities for you to provide additional information and/or feedback, if you'd like to share anything.
* For those choosing to register child(ren) for First Day School (FDS): First Day School provides an introduction to Quaker testimonies and practices, including the ability to participate, contribute, and share in the joys of the Quaker journey at any age. We are fortunate to have talented Friends from the meeting leading in our First Day School sessions. Typically, children and youth join Meeting for Worship the first 15 minutes and then leave to join their groups for FDS programming. FDS will end at 11:00 am on Sundays.
* For those choosing to register child(ren) for childcare: the Childcare Program is for children who are infants through age five (5). Parents can choose to have their children join them for the first 15 minutes of Meeting for Worship and then go to childcare, or have their children go directly to childcare. Our childcare providers are paid staff who will care for your chid(ren) so that you can be participate in Meeting for Worship.
On September 18th, we will welcome everyone back at our Intergenerational Program and introduce our First Day School leaders and Childcare staff. Please complete this registration form prior to any child(ren)'s participation in any of these programs, as registration in these programs serves at consent for the child(ren) to participate.
