SACReD Curriculum Training
Join facilitators Rev. Kentina Washington-Leapheart and Rev. Angela Tyler-Williams for a virtual Train-the-Trainer on the SACReD Curriculum.

This 7-session curriculum is for congregations and communities seeking to explore and deepen their commitments to faith-based reproductive dignity for all. Learn about each session of the curriculum and how you can lead your congregation through courageous conversations weaving together our faith and reproductive stories. This training is geared toward congregational leaders (clergy and laity) who help shape the educational formation within congregations. Once you have completed this training, you will be able to guide your congregation through the curriculum and SACReD Congregations designation process.

The SACReD Curriculum Training content is the same for each session, so you only need to attend one of the scheduled trainings.

SACReD Congregations affirm the following principles and commitments. We ask all who attend this training to affirm these criteria. Do you affirm this preface? *
Grounded in the justice principles that are at the heart of our religious traditions, we are committed to equity, dignity, and holistic well-being for all people. We recognize that reproductive issues are integral to social justice and cannot be exiled from our sphere of moral concern if we are to fully live out our commitment to human flourishing. Similarly, as reproductive concerns are inherently tied to intersecting systems of oppression, particularly those of patriarchy, racism, and poverty, we know we cannot isolate a narrow reproductive interest from a broader justice agenda. We acknowledge that as religious communities we have a particular responsibility to promote healing, bring new understanding, and make changes as they have contributed to trauma, faith alienation, and afflictions of mental health related to reproduction.
SACReD Congregations affirm the following principles and commitments. We ask all who attend this training to affirm these criteria. Do you affirm this principle? *
