The Merrimack Institute for New Teacher Support (MINTS) Presents: "Cultivating Educator Resilience: Ride the Waves of Change and Celebrate and Appreciate"
Thank you for your interest in attending the "Cultivating Educator Resilience: Ride the Waves of Change and Celebrate and Appreciate" workshop on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 4:30-6:00 PM EST in Crowe Hall 107. This session will be on campus, and there will be NO Zoom option. Other workshops in this series (#4, #5, #6, & #7) will be fully on Zoom. This workshop will be facilitated by Stephanie Letourneau. This workshop is part nine of a nine-part series.

Workshop Description: Change is the one thing we can count on, and when we encounter it, we can harness our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energies, and direct them where they will make the biggest difference. Perseverance, patience, and courage help us manage change. Individual and collective celebrations, as well as the practice of gratitude, is the capstone to the habits in this workshop series. Even during hard moments, if we can shift into a stance of appreciation, we’ll build our resilience. Appreciation cultivates our trust in ourselves, in a process, and perhaps in something greater, which helps us respond to the inevitable challenges of life.

Presenter Biography: Stephanie Letourneau is a certified mindfulness instructor and public school teacher with over 20 years of experience. In addition, she is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) and is currently enrolled in the Brain Longevity Teacher Training through Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation. Stephanie also works as an adjunct professor for Merrimack College.

Certificates of participation (1.5 hours) will be provided to you following the workshop. This event is free and open to Merrimack College students, alumni, and the external community. Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited, so please RSVP as soon as possible with your information below!
