Senior Coastsiders 31st Annual Home Rehab Day - Saturday, JUNE 4th, 2022
Home Rehabilitation Day is a one-day event to repair and rehabilitate homes of low-income seniors and adults with disabilities. We need your help on June 4th! We need carpenters, handy people, painters, gardeners, and anyone willing to lend a hand. Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. Projects addressing safety and accessibility are given priority. In the past, we have installed wheelchair ramps, replaced unsafe stairs and porches, fixed plumbing problems, painted houses inside and out and cleared yards.
On June 4th, volunteers will report to their assigned houses at 8:15 am (ready to start by 8:30). A "House Captain" will oversee the repair work being done. Volunteers will work together until noon, then break for a box lunch provided by Senior Coastsiders. Work will continue until 4 p.m. (Depending on number of volunteers and number of projects, these hours may change slightly). After a hard day's work, everyone is invited for a pizza party after (details to come).
