Whitesville Mission Trip

I am honored to respond to my baptismal call to serve in this missionary activity and to serve Christ by serving the poor he loves so much. I understand that much is asked of me and I agree to follow the rules below and directions of anyone in a leadership position.  

Therefore,
  • I will strive to see Christ in everyone with whom I come in contact and be welcoming to all.
  • I will strive to be a person of compassion, patience, forgiveness, reconciliation, service and charity.
  • I will be respectful of peers, adults, staff, guests, homeowners and all materials and equipment.
  • I will support the leaders of this mission trip, abide by their decisions and help fulfill each task assigned. 
  • I will dress appropriately, consistent with the dress code established by DOT Ministries, Inc for mission trips. Girls are expected to avoid short shorts, strapless or spaghetti strap tops. Guys will always wear shirts. T-shirts are acceptable provided they do not reference drugs, alcohol or sexual activity and do not promote or endorse prejudice, hate, violence or other conduct not consistent with Christianity. 
  • Showers at the school are communal so it is MANDATORY THAT ALL teens must have clothes on at all times to and from the showers and also wear a bathing suit when showering.
  • I will not enter into any gender specific areas including rooms, hallways, floors, and bathrooms.
  • I will not participate in inappropriate physical/sexual activity. 
  • I will fully participate in all mission trip activities, unless exempted by the leaders of this mission
  • trip.
  • I will be careful of language that I use and the way that I talk about others, avoiding gossip and sarcasm.
  • Pranks which disturb the environment, people's belongings, or any activities are not permitted including any area in which I am playing, working, dining or sleeping. 
  • All weapons, drugs, alcohol, smoking, vaping and illegal objects are prohibited. 
  • Threatening, harassing, intimidating, assaulting, or bullying in any way is not permitted.

I agree to abide by all policies and rules established for this event. Should I not be able to maintain these guidelines and expectations of the adults and my peers, I understand that there will be consequences for my actions, including being removed from the activity and being sent home at my parent’s expense.
