Join us for a presentation by Pastor Tony Pittenger about his book Messiah – the Greatest Sermon Ever Sung. This presentation will be geared toward students and will feature a discussion about how to make an idea into a book. The Heritage Lutheran School PreK and K students will join us from 9:15-9:30 for chapel, then they will return to class and Pastor Pittenger will present to our group for about an hour. Following the presentation, we will have some light snacks and Heritage is graciously allowing us to use their gym until 11:30am.

Pastor Pittenger is a graduate of Bethany Lutheran College, Minnesota State University—Mankato, and Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary. He has served as a pastor at Bethany Lutheran Church, School, & Early Learning Center since 1996. He and Melissa were married in 1997 and have five children: Karalena, Micah, Charis, Jack, & Nika.

If you would like to prepare at home for the presentation, the following verses could be read or even memorized if you'd like (note that The Messiah makes use of the KJV translation):

Matthew 11:28-30 (I’d have them memorize this straight from KJV and then use Handel’s alterations for discussion.)
