After September 1st we will hold assessments on set days/time at Vista Del Lago High School.

To schedule an assessment, please register your swimmer in the form below, and a team representative will  contact you soon to schedule your swimmers' assessment.

Things to Know

The Sierra Marlins Swim Team is not a learn-to-swim program.  If your child does not have prior swim training, then they are not yet ready for the Marlins. We do not offer lessons for non-swimmers.

• Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards (one length of the pool) unassisted with strong flutter kick, face in the water and side breathing.
• Swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards backstroke unassisted.
• Swimmers must be able to understand breaststroke kick mechanics.
• The Marlins Coach will evaluate your child for their basic maturity level,  ability to follow directions during a group training,  and overall water safety.
• 10 and under swimmers will need to kick one length of freestyle,  backstroke, and breaststroke kick.
  
• Swimmers that are 11+ must have prior swim team experience with either another USAS team or a recreational team. They must also be legal in the 4 competitive strokes (free/back/breast/fly).
