We are eager to learn more about your story idea, and we encourage you to consider these three elements, which are essential to all CCIJ stories, when sharing your pitch below: 1) a strong investigative text-based story, 2) visual storytelling opportunities and 3) key data opportunities.

In one to two paragraphs, please summarize what research and reporting you have already done. In one to two paragraphs, please summarize what outstanding questions remain and what additional reporting you will need to do to answer them.

Visual element *

In one paragraph, please discuss possible approaches for visual storytelling - still photographs, video, illustrations, animation, historical or archive imagery, etc. Consider how the visuals will stand on their own as a distinct narrative and complement, enhance or expand on the written and data components.

Please discuss any data sources you would like to look into for your story. If possible, please link to any relevant data sets, websites to scrape, documents, archives, etc.
