Spring 2020 LEAD Academy                                                              *High School Students Only
Our center’s mission is to enhance engineering and computer science related education through rigorous and relevant hands-on content.  The center supports interdisciplinary approaches to solve challenges, promote higher level critical thinking skills, and to work collaboratively to solve complex problems!  Our center wants to engage, empower and inspire students all while igniting a fire about STEM related fields.  

Our LEAD Academy is a one day experience held at our college to provide students with hands-on experiences in a particular area of engineering and computing.  Your students will be engaged in hands-on project based learning, take a tour of UofSC, have lunch at the Russel House, and have time to talk with current CEC students! This one day experience will be from 9am-2pm or 10am-3pm.  Lunch is provided. 

The application must be received on September 16th or before.  We have selected dates the LEAD Academy will be offered and listed the choices on the application.   This application should be completed by a teacher or guidance counselor that would like to bring a group of 25 students or less for the LEAD Academy.  Only ONE application per teacher is necessary.

We would love to have your class step into our LEAD Academy for the day and experience something they won’t forget!
