ASAP is offering a limited number of scholarships for farmers located within our Appalachian Grown region to attend the Business of Farming Conference:
1. New and Beginning Farmer Scholarship: For anyone who has operated a farm for less than ten years, to support the next generation of farmers. (Update: All New and Beginning Farmer Scholarships have been awarded as of 2/22/21).
2. Racial Equity Scholarship: For Black, Indigenous and other People of Color (BIPOC), to support more diversity, equity, and inclusion in the Appalachian Grown Network.
The scholarship award covers 100% of the registration cost and can be used for ONE person from your farm that has not attended in the past. Applications will be reviewed and awarded on a first come, first serve basis.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must currently be farming or seriously pursuing farming as a profession, and must reside within an Appalachian Grown county (see below).

GEORGIA: Fannin, Franklin, Gilmer, Habersham, Lumpkin, Pickens, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, White
SOUTH CAROLINA: Anderson, Cherokee, Greenville, Oconee, Pickens, Spartanburg
TENNESSEE: Blount, Bradley, Carter, Cocke, Greene, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Monroe, Polk, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, Washington
