Apex Orchards is a 7th generation fruit farm located in the beautiful hills of Shelburne, MA. We are searching for a unique person to join our growing team! The Farm Store is open 7 days a week from mid July to December, we are closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Brief Position Overview
The Farm Store manager directly manages a team of seasonal staff with a wide range of responsibilities. This critical role oversees all functions of the Farm Store including the Pick Your Own Fruit operations, retail store operations and events, and is the liaison between the warehouse and the Farm Store. This is a faced paced, hands on and exciting opportunity to join a great team and to work in a beautiful place! Applicants must be high energy, extremely reliable, flexible, have excellent management skills and have a positive attitude.

Passion for customer service, farming/local food and hard work are a must! Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects daily as well as simultaneous events inside and outside of the Farm Store. Must be physically able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs, bend, stand, walk and lift for 8 hours or more. Must have a valid drivers license and demonstrate safe driving skills. Knowledge of POS system or an ability to learn and train staff are required. This position directly manages staff and all duties related to effectively managing a team. Must have previous customer service experience and at least demonstrate good management skills- experience in management is preferred however, we will train the right person!

Schedule
This is a commitment critical position of 6 days a week (full plus time) from July to December, weekends and 2 Monday holidays (Columbus Day and Labor Day)  - schedule is flexible during the off season of January-June. Work hours are typically within 9am and 5pm. Off season work includes general farm work, packing, deliveries, pruning and more.
