Props Master: The props master is responsible for creating and obtaining all prop elements for the production. They will gather a props list in coordination with the ASM, and maintain contact with the Director in order to meet all artistic desires. Will be responsible for maintaining communication with V&PA Set and Props Workers to ensure proper sign-out and sign-in of pieces in stock.
Costume Designer: The costume designer is responsible for creating and obtaining all costume elements for the production. This includes maintaining contact with the Director in order to meet all artistic desires, taking measurements, pulling costumes from stock, making alterations if need be, and thrifting/shopping for any items not within the stock. Will be responsible for maintaining communication with the V&PA Costume Shop Workers to ensure proper sign-out and sign-in of pieces in stock.
Sound Designer: The sound designer is responsible for the creation, programming, and operation of all sound elements for the production. This includes operating the Sound Board during tech week and shows, as well as micing actors if requested by the Director, and maintaining contact with the Director in order to meet all artistic desires. Will be responsible for maintaining communication with the V&PA Equipment Workers to ensure proper sign-out and sign-in of equipment in stock.
Lighting Designer: The lighting designer is responsible for the creation, programming, and operation of all lighting elements for the production. This includes operating the Lighting Board during the tech week and shows, and maintaining contact with the Director in order to meet all artistic desires. Will be responsible for maintaining communication with the V&PA Equipment Workers to ensure proper sign-out and sign-in of equipment in stock.
Scenic Designer: The scenic designer is responsible for creating and obtaining all scenic elements of the show, including but not limited to sketching out designs, facilitating Build Hours, gathering set dressings, and coordinating set changes during Tech Week. Will be responsible for maintaining communication with V&PA Set and Props Workers to ensure proper sign-out and sign-in of pieces in stock.
House Manager: The house manager is responsible for all front-of-house operations, including signing in audience members and decorating the space. Low-commitment.
Carpenter: The carpenters are responsible for attending Build Hours and constructing set pieces--working alongside the Scenic Designer. Comfort with power tools is preferred for this position. Low-commitment.
Production Assistant: Production assistants are responsible for the execution of the set and costume changes, prop hand-offs, and setting the show to the top for the next day/performance. They will work directly with the ASM to coordinate these responsibilities during the Tech Week. Low-commitment.
Graphic Designer: The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating the poster design and Playbill for the show, as well as the graphic for the marquee on the front of the Little Center. Low-commitment.
ALL POSITIONS aside from Carpentry, House Manager, and Graphic Designer are required to attend a one-hour production meeting every week. Carpenters, house manager, and graphic designer will be called as needed.
