The 28th Annual Texas State Autism Conference provides educators and parents with evidence based strategies, resources, and tools that may be utilized in the education of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This conference is sponsored by the Texas Education Agency and coordinated by ESC Region 2.

Each year, the Texas Autism Conference funding provides four parent stipends at each of the regional service centers throughout Texas. These parent stipends cover the cost of parent registration ($125), but participants are responsible for their own travel, hotel, and food costs. This is sometimes limiting to the parents who want to attend, so this year, ESC Region 6 Special Education Department is excited to offer stipends to help parents with the cost of the hotel ($300).

Application Information:
One stipend per family will be considered. Stipend information should be provided to the recipients prior to registration. Please do not register before you receive information on how to register with a stipend. A family must have a child with ASD between the ages of 3 and 21. Priority will be given in the following order:

1. To families with a newly diagnosed child
2. To families who have never attended the Texas Autism Conference
3. To families who have the earliest application.

Please note these stipends are available only to families in Education Service Center Region 6 regional service delivery area.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE for all applications is May 15, 2020. Award recipients will be notified by May 22, 2020.
