Fayette County Public Schools Board of Education   Public Agenda Item Request Form
Fayette County Public Schools (Lexington, Kentucky) Board policy 01.45 states, "Any member of the public may submit items to be considered for the agenda to the Superintendent ten (10) calendar days prior to the date of the meeting by filing the appropriate form."

This form should NOT be used for the following:

1. Grievances and complaints against an employee or individuals in the District. These should be processed thought the District's complaint procedures.
2. Open Records Requests. These should be submitted in writing to openrecordsrequest@fayette.kyschools.us
3. General comments and feedback for members of the Board of Education or the Superintendent. These should be sent to feedback@fayette.kyschools.us

Requests do not guarantee the incorporation of items onto the meeting agenda, as a number of factors shall be considered including (but not limited to):

1. The relevance of the matter to the Board's governance role, jurisdiction, and authority.
2. Whether the matter has already been acted upon or considered previously by the Board of Education.
3. Availability of relevant data, information, staff, and resources to place an item under discussion.

The Superintendent and Board Chair meet in advance of each month's planning work session to plan and organize the meeting agenda. Pursuant to our Board Governance Manual, items will not be acted upon until they have been presented and discussed as part of both a planning work session and a regular board meeting except in case of emergencies or if warranted by the Chair and Superintendent.
