Time Commitment. Do you understand that we rehearse every day after school 3:30-6 and Saturdays 8-5? There is an attendance policy that will be followed. You cannot miss more than TWO Saturday rehearsals in the fall.

It is MANDATORY that you are in town for the fall break. Please check here acknowledging this. You will be removed from the cast if you cannot attend these rehearsals.

Missed rehearsals are a major issue. You must give 24 hours’ notice of a conflict with rehearsal (unless you are ill-in which case you should immediately text Mrs. Hayes or Ms. Bridges and the SM of the show you are in). If you have regularly scheduled appointments, lessons, tutoring, work, etc. I should know about them now on your conflict sheet. Rehearsals are mandatory. When you miss rehearsal you miss blocking, choreography, and music instruction. That time cannot be made up. If you do not give 24 hours’ notice before a missed rehearsal (unless it is an emergency) you will get one unexcused absence. If you no show a rehearsal it is an unexcused absence. Two unexcused absences will result in your removal from the show. You will be excused only twice for work, appointments, tutoring, lessons (regularly scheduled events) UNLESS they were included on your conflict sheet. We will fill out another conflict sheet once the cast has been determined and we are closer to rehearsing. The third absence will result in removal from the show. Emergency situations will be dealt with on a case by case basis. IF you miss a rehearsal it is YOUR responsibility to learn the blocking and choreography on your own time. Do not come to rehearsal and expect time to be spent re-teaching what was taught the day before. Please check below that you understand the attendance policy. *

The DCSD policies for drugs and alcohol apply to all rehearsals and events associated with being in a school production. We are looking for well rounded individuals as well as diversity in age, race, gender, ect. Please continue to audition for shows and/or consider joining crew to stay in the loop. *
